Patrick Sergott – Principal

As the Founder of P4 Global LLC and The Protection Institute LLC, and Principal of both companies, Mr. Sergott is instrumental in the overall strategic direction, product development, growth planning, marketing, and the success and profitability of the company. Mr. Sergott coordinates with other Principals to translate top-level goals throughout the organization. He focuses on revenue growth through streamlined operations, strategic planning, client relations and service continuity.

Mr. Sergott is a retired U.S. Marine, and former Chief of Police. He has completed his Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice and has completed work on his Doctorate Degree in Strategic Security. He has managed, directed and supervised multi-million dollar accounts for an international security operations companies, and is a Senior Lead Instructor and Subject Matter Expert for multiple U.S. Government Anti-Terrorism Programs. His business experience includes review and approval of accounting and finance, marketing and advertising, client communications, employee management, and government compliance. He has more than 20 years of progressive experience as a Program Manager, Director, and Corporate President/CEO overseeing international operations and instructional programs for government, law enforcement, military and private sector clients. Mr. Sergott has a passion and first-hand knowledge of the urgent need for individuals to take responsibility for their own safety.

He is the registered inventor of the “Total Protection Formula”, an integrated technology based facility security and protection program. Mr. Sergott is a results focused leader, with a passion and determination for excellence in performance and quality.

Lawrence A. Doria – Principal

With four decades in the security industry, Larry has been in leadership roles providing the physical security operations for countless installations and special events. In addition, he has provided executive protection for numerous captains of industry, VIPs and celebrities throughout his esteemed career.

Larry serves as Chairman of the Board and Past President of the Illinois Security Professionals Association (ISPA), a position he has held for over 30 years and is a Principal/Owner of P4 Global, Inc. and The Protection Group, LLC. P4 Global and The Protection Group, LLC are leaders in providing protection services, training and consulting, both nationally and internationally.

Prior to P4 and TPG, Larry was Vice President of Business Development and Chicago Area Vice-President, for Securitas Security Services USA the leader in integrated guarding services in the United States. Larry's responsibilities included the continued growth and successes of Securitas within the Chicagoland area. Larry is also the former CEO and President of Security Management & Investigations and the former President of The Security Professionals, Inc. For 32 years, he was responsible for the continued growth and success of a multi-million dollar security and investigation corporation, administrating to a workforce of 1,200 security officers and 1,000 off-duty law enforcement officers.

Larry has worked tirelessly to raise the standard of the entire security industry. As Chairman of the Board of the Illinois Security Professionals Association, Larry has represented the organization at various state legislative and regulatory advisory meetings affecting the security industry in Illinois.

Through Larry's leadership, the Illinois Security Professionals Association has established an effective relationship within the law enforcement community. These alliances brought together public and private agencies, proprietary security and safety directors, and governmental bodies to work together to improve the safety and security of the public.

In addition to serving as the Chairman of the Board of the Illinois Security Professionals Association, Larry was an active member of the ASIS Law Enforcement Liaison Council and Security Services Council. He also served as the President of the Midwest Security Conference; a co-founder, former vice-president and current advisory board member of the Illinois State Crime Commission; a former chairman of the DuPage County Crime Commission; a contributor to the U.S. Department of Justice Hallcrest Report II, and serves on the Illinois Association Chiefs of Police Public/Private Liaison Committee as well as the Chicago BOMA Security/Preparedness Committee.

Adam Johnson – Executive Vice President

Mr. Johnson’s dedication to the field is demonstrated by his commitment to professional organizations. He is currently the Immediate Past President of the Illinois Security Professionals Association and formerly held the positions of President and Vice President. Mr. Johnson is an active member of the Special Agents Association and ASIS International. Mr. Johnson is passionate about the development of the industry and is focused on ensuring that the association remains on the cutting edge of industry advancements.

Mr. Johnson is currently the Executive Vice President of P4 Global LLC, The Protection Institute LLC and The Protection Group Inc.  His responsibilities include managing and guiding the day-to-day operations, compliance, finance, corporate policies and procedures. Additionally, Mr. Johnson ensures the overall customer satisfaction of the companies’ products and services.

Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a BA in Psychology.  Mr. Johnson has worked in the security industry for over a decade, starting in the retail sector and expanding into the private contract security arena.  He’s held numerous leadership positions within those organizations.  Mr. Johnson’s duties and responsibilities have included training, security, safety, loss prevention and operations.  He has directed operations for clients in several markets to include: commercial real estate, data centers, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and retail.  Mr. Johnson was instrumental in increasing profitability of his employers through the implementation of his security operations processes and procedures.

He is the President of the Illinois Security Chiefs Association, and is an active member of the Special Agents Association, and ASIS International. Geof Gradler – Vice President/Chief Strategy Officer

As the Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for P4 Global LLC and The Protection Institute LLC, Mr. Gradler is instrumental in the overall strategic direction of the companies. He advises the Principals and other executive team members with respect to growth opportunities. He leads efforts related to Government Affairs and is the officer responsible for the company's strategic direction with respect to elected officials, regulatory bodies in Washington, DC, and in state capitals across the country. Mr. Gradler integrates business development, marketing and government affairs into our corporate growth model.

Mr. Gradler is an economist with an M.A. in Economics from George Mason University and a B.S. in Business Economics from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Gradler is a founding principal with the firm Roberts, Raheb & Gradler, a boutique government affairs organization located in Washington, DC. Previously, he ran Washington offices for the brokerage firm Charles Schwab and for the National Stock Exchange, an electronic equity trading platform. He has also served in political and legislative positions for several U.S. Senators and Congressman.

Mr. Gradler is passionate about national security and improving the safety and security standards for safeguarding people in their homes, workplaces, and schools.  He is an outstanding representative of company philosophies within the governmental arena.

Dan McDevitt- Vice President of Consultation Services

Daniel McDevitt completed a thirty-six year law enforcement career, which began with his appointment as a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). He then served for 24 years with the Illinois State Police (ISP), retiring as a Captain, and subsequently served for ten years as Chief of Police in two Chicago suburbs, Homewood and Lansing, IL.

McDevitt has a Master of Science degree in Criminology, is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the FBI Executive Development Program, and has taught at colleges, universities, and police academies in the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East for both civilian and military law enforcement personnel. He has authored three books: “Police Chief- Attaining and Succeeding in this Critical Position”, “Major Case Management- a Guide for the Law Enforcement Manager“, and “Managing the Investigative Unit“, and several law enforcement and management articles, and has served as a consultant for both governmental agencies and private corporations.

He is also retired as an Intelligence Officer with the U.S. Navy, where he held the rank of Lieutenant Commander after completing a twenty-year career which included both enlisted and commissioned service. As a Medical Corpsman he cared for Vietnam wounded USMC and USN personnel, and later as an Intelligence Officer, he specialized in foreign counterintelligence and analysis of terrorist operations. He was recalled to active duty twice for the Gulf War, where he conducted counter surveillance operations and protective services details.

He has served as a consultant for the U.S. Department of State on several occasions, and has developed and presented courses internationally for the State Department’s Global Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program and for the Department of Defense Executive Institute throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. He has also planned and conducted several dignitary protection details for high-profile individuals.

He is the co-owner of REM Management Services, Inc., a management consulting firm. The firm provides a variety of public safety, security, and management services and training programs for corporate, business, and government clients worldwide.
