Lawrence A. Doria:
President and CEO
Lawrence A. Doria, Chairman of the Board of the Illinois Security Professional’s Association (ISPA) and CEO/President of P4 Security Solutions LLC, has over forty years in the security industry. Larry has been in leadership roles providing the physical security operations for countless installations and special events. In addition, he has provided executive protection for numerous captains of industry, VIPs and celebrities throughout his esteemed career.
Larry serves as Chairman of the Board and Past President of the Illinois Security Professionals Association (ISPA), a position he has held for over 30 years and is CEO/President of P4 Security Solutions LLC (P4S). P4 Security Solutions LLC is a leader in providing protection services, training and consulting, both nationally and internationally.
Prior to starting P4S, Larry was Chicago Area Vice-President and Vice President of Business Development for Securitas Security Services USA, the leader in integrated guarding services in the United States. Larry's responsibilities included the continued growth and successes of Securitas within the Chicagoland area. Larry is also the former CEO and President of Security Management & Investigations, and the former President of The Security Professionals, Inc. For 32 years, he was responsible for the continued growth and success of a multi-million dollar security and investigation corporation, administrating to a workforce of 1,200 security officers and 1,000 off-duty law enforcement officers.
Larry has worked tirelessly to raise the standard of the entire security industry. As Chairman of the Board of the Illinois Security Professionals Association, Larry has represented the organization at various state legislative and regulatory advisory meetings affecting the security industry in Illinois.
Through Larry's leadership, the Illinois Security Professionals Association has established an effective relationship within the law enforcement community. These alliances brought together public and private agencies, proprietary security and safety directors, and governmental bodies to work together to improve the safety and security of the public.
In addition to serving as the Chairman of the Board of the Illinois Security Professionals Association, Larry was an active member of the ASIS Law Enforcement Liaison Council and currently serves on the ASIS Security Services Council. He also was a co-founder and served as the President of the Midwest Security Conference; a co-founder, former vice-president and current advisory board member of the Illinois State Crime Commission; a former chairman of the DuPage County Crime Commission; a contributor to the U.S. Department of Justice Hallcrest Report II, and serves on the Illinois Association Chiefs of Police Public/Private Liaison Committee as well as the Chicago BOMA Security/Preparedness Committee.
Larry is licensed by the State of Illinois as a Private Security Contractor and a Private Detective
Mark Field was appointed Chief of Police in 1996 and retired in November, 2016. He served as Deputy Chief of Police from 1991 until 1996 for the Wheaton, IL Police Department. He was a police officer for thirty-nine years and formerly served as Deputy Chief of Administrative Services for the Kankakee County, IL Sheriff's Police Department.
He holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Governors State University and is a graduate of Southern Police Institute's 66th Administrative Officers Course. Since 2000, he has lectured in 27 states as an adjunct professor with the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety and College of DuPage. Previously, he was a graduate and undergraduate professor of Public Policy at Governors State University as well as Kankakee Community College.
Mr. Field is a retired Lieutenant in United States Naval Intelligence and served at numerous duty stations throughout the world with the Naval Investigative Service and Naval Aviation with extensive experience in the areas of counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism.
His literary credits include over forty published leadership articles in leading professional journals. His most recent articles, entitled The Challenged Performer (Law and Order magazine) and The Strength of Humility in Leadership (Command magazine). Chief Field has lectured publicly and privately in more than 25 states on topics of leadership, ethics, human resources, and personnel selection.
He was recipient of the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration’s 2010 Ethics Achievement Award.
Mr. Field is the co-author of two published textbooks entitled: Police Chief: How to Attain and Succeed in This Critical Position; and, Police Officer Selection: A Handbook for Law Enforcement Administrators both published by Charles C Thomas Publishers of Springfield, Illinois.
He currently serves as principal with the consulting firms of REM Management Resources and Resource Management Associates.
Chief Operating Officer
Adam co-founded and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for P4 Security Solutions LLC. His responsibilities include strategic growth initiatives, finance, risk mitigation, and company policies. Adam’s dedication to the field is demonstrated by his commitment to professional organizations. He is currently a consultant to the board and a past president of the Illinois Security Professionals Association (ISPA). As President of ISPA, Adam was instrumental in recruiting the association's first executive director and saw association growth soar during his term. Adam also is an active member of the ASIS International Special Agents Association.
Adam has worked in the security industry for over 15 years and began his security career working for Target Corporation. At Target, Adam was responsible for security, safety, loss prevention and operations . Adam oversaw a geographic region that covered the north side of Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Within this territory were stores that generated over $400 million annually and employed over 2,000 people. In 2012, Adam transitioned out of the retail sector into contract security with Securitas Security Services USA. With Securitas, Adam was responsible for one of the largest portfolio's in the region consisting of vertical markets such as commercial real estate, data centers, manufacturing, healthcare, construction and retail. Adam saw much success with improving security operations, business development and portfolio profitability.
Adam is very committed to the growth and evolution of the security industry. His passion for training and development of security personnel, education and awareness of clientele and provided value-added integrated strategic security services are at the forefront of the company's vision.
Over 30-years’ experience within the private security industry with a well-documented history of accomplishments, experience, and expertise. His efforts have been recognized by previous employers, professional industry organizations, law enforcement, and civic groups. His experience has included senior security management positions, multi-store responsibility, local/national sales, physical protection system design and lecturer. Tony has also authored several publications on high definition cameras, advanced video analytics and RFID Tracking. He is currently taking a leadership role in introducing fiber-like wireless communication for video, two-way radio, and data communication in the Midwest territory.
In 2003 Tony founded Integra Security Alliance, Inc... This organization for 14-years has offered a full selection of security related services. Though this network they have provided unprecedented experience, knowledge and industry experts for maximizing efficiency, reliability and value. Most recently Integra Security Alliance was retained by OCOM Sales has a manufacturer’s representative for several companies to include Arecont Cameras, Exacq Vision Video Management, Commend Emergency Paging Systems, Siklu Wireless, Salient Video Management and Middle Atlantic Racking Systems.
In 2000 - 2003, Tony served as Vice President of Sales for Total Information Services, a division of US Investigation Services and once a division of Congress . His territory consisted of 28-states providing pre- employment background services to fortune 100 companies and governmental agencies.
In 1987 - 2000, Tony started as corporate security investigator for Carson Pirie Scott which later led to a corporate security director position. He presided over 27/stores and a staff of over 350 security personnel. He developed new training programs for store security and internal investigators. He also implemented new employee awareness programs and revised the company’s procedure for addressing check and credit fraud. As corporate director, in his first two years, he was successful in reducing shrinkage from 31 million to 16 million dollars.
In 1983 after graduating DeVry Institute of Technology, Tony’s began his career in security with Underwriters Laboratory in the burglary protection and signaling department. His responsibility was to evaluate alarm systems, safes, fire suppression equipment and bullet resistant materials to ensure compliance with UL specifications. In addition, he performed actual attack tests on alarms, automated teller machines and safes.
Daniel S. McDevitt:
VP of Consultation Services
Daniel S. McDevitt completed a thirty-six year law enforcement career, which began with his appointment as a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). He then served for 24 years with the Illinois State Police (ISP), retiring as a Captain, and subsequently served for ten years as Chief of Police in two Chicago suburbs, Homewood and Lansing, IL.
McDevitt has a Master of Science degree in Criminology, is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the FBI Executive Development Program, and has taught at colleges, universities, and police academies in the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East for both civilian and military law enforcement personnel. He has authored three books: “Police Chief- Attaining and Succeeding in this Critical Position”, “Major Case Management- a Guide for the Law Enforcement Manager“, and “Managing the Investigative Unit“, and several law enforcement and management articles, and has served as a consultant for both governmental agencies and private corporations.
He is also retired as an Intelligence Officer with the U.S. Navy, where he held the rank of Lieutenant Commander after completing a twenty-year career, which included both enlisted and commissioned service. As a Medical Corpsman he cared for Vietnam wounded USMC and USN personnel, and later as an Intelligence Officer, he specialized in foreign counterintelligence and analysis of terrorist operations. He was recalled to active duty twice for the Gulf War, where he conducted counter surveillance operations and protective services details.
He has served as a consultant for the U.S. Department of State on several occasions, and has developed and presented courses internationally for the State Department’s Global Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program and for the Department of Defense Executive Institute throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. He has also planned and conducted several dignitary protection details for high-profile individuals.
Included in these services are: Operational and Liability Analysis for Municipalities, Policy and Procedure Development, Promotional Assessment Centers, Chief Executive Selections, Emergency Operations and Campus Violence Prevention Planning/Training for colleges and universities, Expert Witness Testimony, Sensitive Investigative Services, Reorganization, Consolidation, and Efficiency Improvement of Public Safety Agencies, a number of training programs, and other services.
PAUL OHM, CPP:
Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development
Paul currently serves as Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development for P4 Security Solutions LLC. He brings to this position nearly 20 years of experience from both the military and private sectors. His current responsibilities include oversight of: compliance, day to day operations, partner relationships, strategic growth strategies, company policy and procedure development, recruiting, training, and HR.
As an avid learner and someone that proactively seeks out professional development, Paul has successfully completed programs and certifications offered through FEMA, FBI, DHS, ASIS International, and various other private entities. He began his private sector career with one of the largest security companies in the industry where he was routinely promoted to higher levels of responsibility, culminating with his selection as Director of Safety and Security for the University of Chicago.
Throughout his career, Paul has held responsibility of large-scale teams during, and participated in the planning, oversight, and execution of, many high level security management events, to include: the NATO Security Conference, President Obama Election Night coverage, ASIS International Conference, various Professional Sporting Events, Chicago Cubs World Series Victory Parade, several Dignitary Visits, numerous Controversial Guest Speaking Engagements, many Active Threat Responses, multiple University of Chicago Convocations, and random Civil Disturbance Assignments.
Paul is also deeply involved with various professional organizations. He currently serves as President of the Illinois Security Professionals, Chair of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police Public/Private Liaison Committee, 2ndVice President of the Special Agents Association, and holds the prestigious Certified Protection Professional designation from ASIS International.
Paul also has extensive military experience, having served five years as an Airborne Ranger in the 3rdRanger Battalion/75thRanger Regiment. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant and Team Leader. Paul completed five tours of duty to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the Global War on Terror. He is a graduate of the Army’s top leadership course, Ranger School.
